Solar thermal water heating

About This Project

When a communal solar thermal water system failed on an occupied residential development in London, WDL were appointed to assess the situation and provide a suitable solution whilst causing minimal disruption to the residents.
WDL’s high qualified and experienced Site Inspectors assessed the system and found that it was not operating efficiently causing a potential risk of legionella bacteria growth within the pipework. It was proposed that the exiting solar thermal panels were removed along with thermal stores and replaced with a new system.
WDL Project Management ensured that the works were carried out effectively and to a strict programme. We arranged for temporary boiler plant to be located on-site so that the residents were not left without hot water. Access to apartments was arranged directly with the residents to allow the heat board to be cleaned and repaired where necessary.
